Beyond Limits, Human Potential Retreats

1. Controller

The party responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:

Alessio Alfei
Vicolo del Casale Lumbroso 23
00166 Rome, Italy
Email: info@getbeyondlimits.net

2. General

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data only on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR and national data protection law). This policy explains the most important aspects of data processing on this website. The website is secured with SSL/TLS encryption, which you can recognise by the lock symbol and "https://" in your browser bar.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you access the site, technical data (see server log files) is processed to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient provision). For data transfers to the USA, the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) apply. More information: netlify.com/privacy.

4. Server Log Files

When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored in server log files that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the request, and IP address. This data serves system security, stability and troubleshooting and is not merged with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Cookies and Consent

This website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR so the site functions and to remember your cookie choice. Cookies and services that are not technically necessary (such as analytics) are only used after you give your consent via the cookie banner, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clearing the stored choice in your browser, after which the banner will appear again.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics uses cookies to help analyse how visitors use the site. Google Analytics is only loaded after you actively accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.

The information generated (including a shortened/anonymised IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google. We use IP anonymisation, so your IP address is shortened within the EU before transmission. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For data transfers to the USA, Google relies on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can find more in Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Contact Form and Email

If you use the contact form on our booking page or contact us by email, we process the data you provide (such as first and last name, email address, phone number and your message) in order to handle your enquiry. Form submissions are processed via Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc.) and forwarded to us by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Booking and Payment

When you book a place on the retreat, you are directed to the booking platform indicated in the booking process, where your booking and payment are handled. The data required for your booking and payment is processed by that platform under its own privacy terms. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

9. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to: access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
